13th Russian lighting design contest

The 13th Russian lighting design contest was held during Interlight Moscow powered by light+building in November.

This competition is organized by Russian lighting research Institute VNISI, Russian Designer’s Union and Messe Frankfurt Russia every year. In this year the chairman of the jury was Mr. Andreas Shulz – Prof. Dipl. Ing. CEO of Licht Kunst Licht AG, representative of International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). Moreover the jury consisted of general director of VNISI Anna Shakhparunyants, president of Russian designer’s union Yuri Nazarov and representative of Moscow Committee of architecture Tatyana Guk.

Members of the jury with great interest considered every of the work submitted to the contest, and awarding ceremony of the winners took place on 13th of November at the Design Academy in the frame of Interlight powered by light+ building. All participants were awarded with diplomas and first-place winners received statuettes of the original design of Interlight Moscow powered by light+ building. Students-winners received cash prizes from the Messe Frankfurt Rus and the Lighting trade Association (LTA) sponsor companies are: VNISI, BL TRADE, ETM, Beliy Svet and Tochka Opori.

The winners of the cotest in 2014 are:

1. The best design of outdoor lighting: “Architectural and landscape lighting of Pashkov’s House in Moscow” by Svetoproject Ltd.

2. The best design of interior lighting: “Lighting of Car showroom Bentley Krasnodar” by Company “Tochka opory”

3. The best design of lighting device: Designed LED lamp NIMB (BELO BELO ™) by Company “MDM-Light”

4. The best student’s lighting design: BLITS Lamp by Anna Khrustalyova (National Institute of Design, prof. Ivan Batalov).
