Participation in international organizations

VNISI involved in the organization of lighting conferences and exhibitions, working in Russian and foreign public organizations. The Russian National Committee of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) works on the basis of VNISI, developing and introducing all the innovations of world standardization in the USSR.
Since 2004, Moscow has been joining the LUCI Association (International Community of City Lighting), where VNISI, the Moscow Housing and Public Utilities Department, and the Mossvet State Unitary Enterprise are the main representatives of the city and organize the first conference “The City under the Microscope” in 2007. Then in 2012, the institute itself became an associate member of LUCI, where it is a constant and active participant in all conferences.
The cooperation of VNISI with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) began in the seventies, when the institute entered the Technical Committee TK34 on the basis of Russian Gosstandart. Today VNISI is the basic organization for the work of ITC 332 and TC 332.
LUX EUROPA - Association of National Lighting Societies, currently uniting 20 European countries. The representative of Russia in the LUX EUROPA Committee is the General Director of VNISI Anna Shakhparunyants. LUX EUROPA conferences have been held every four years since 1969. As a rule, from 300 to 500 people take part in each LUX EUROPA conference. In addition, LUX EUROPA is a common platform for exchanging ideas, for discussing new research results and problems in the field of lighting.
The LUX PACIFICA Association was organized in the late eighties following the success of the successful LUX EUROPA conferences and its main task was to unite the countries of the Pacific region. VNISI is represented on the board of directors of the Association and is a regular participant in all conferences.

Organization of conferences and participation in exhibitions

VNISI is the main expert at Interlight Russia | Intelligent building Russia. General Director of VNISI heads the Expert Council of the exhibition and participates in the business and scientific program of the largest exhibition project in Eastern Europe in the field of lighting, electrical engineering and building automation.
Continuing the work begun in 1993 by the Lighting Engineering Society, created on the initiative of VNISI, the institute organizes on a regular basis scientific, technical and scientific-practical conferences on pressing issues of lighting engineering. The most notable results of this activity in recent years were the Light in the Museum conference in St. Petersburg (2018) and the International Scientific and Practical Conference on the use of LED phyto irradiators, which was successfully held in Moscow (2019).
