"Friends’ Meeting " at the Moscow Interlight - 2011

November 9th, 2011 at the Exhibition Interlight - 2011 held an event " Friends’ Meeting " dedicated to 60th anniversary of VNISI

The official part of the event began with opening speech of General director of VNISI Anna Shahparunyants, who summarized the main achievements of the Institute over the past 60 years. In particular, it was noted that six decades of history of the institute worked for several generations of outstanding scientists and engineers, lighting technicians. These years were full of the outstanding discoveries, innovative ideas, and hard work.

Mrs. Shakhparunyants also presented a report on the stages of development VNISI, the status of various directions of scientific and social activities of the institute, about the many discoveries and investigations. After the opening speech, General Director and VNISI staff accepted congratulations from friends, colleagues and partners.

Chairman of the Moscow Department of Fuel and Energy Department Eugene Sklyarov focused attention in his congratulatory address on the importance and significance of VNISI for the capital’s energy sector. According to Mr. Sklyarov, every year the night Moscow is becoming lighter, apply a new and improved lighting, energy efficient installations and light sources. In all of these positive changes embedded work of scientists and engineers, lighting technicians from VNISI.

The General Secretary of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE), Martina Paul congratulated the VNISI team his 60th birthday, and expressed gratitude for the long-term and fruitful participation in the activities of the Institute in CIE development of international standards for lighting, increased attention to the urgent problems of lighting and energy saving. It was noted that this work was based on was created VNISI Russian National Committee of the ICE, operating more than 50 years, whose president is the General Director of VNISI. In addition, Paul Martin introduced the new Public Lighting Engineering Dictionary CIE (International Lighting Vocabulary), released in 2011. There was presented Russian edition of the new dictionary, prepared and published VNISI on this anniversary event.
